John Gibbs:  Editor

John has worked closely as editor with Outsider and Callum Macrae ever since he cut 'The Real Flying Saucers' in 2005.

He has since edited everything from hard hitting investigative Panoramas and Dispatches - he edited the award winning Iraq’s Missing Billions with Callum - through to the historical whimsy of 'Fly Me - The history of the Air Hostess'. His work ranges from gritty crime documentaries like 'Drugs Inc' for Discovery to 'Underworld' for National Geographic where he was often applauded for his use of music and creating mood.

He has edited everything from Pop videos for the 'Beta Band', to corporates for Jaguar and Isuzu cars. But has also successfully tackled sensitive religious documentaries for BBC's 'Witness' and even the Literary video for 'Annexed' by Sharon Dogar.  Most recently for Outsider he cut Al Jazeera’s flagship series 'Americas New Frontline'.

John comes from a traditional animation and prop building background which he claims trained his eye for creating eye catching visuals - whilst his 20 odd years of touring the globe with various 'Beat' combos honed his skills at interweaving music and atmosphere into his all of edits.
